In 1998 Susannah moved to Harlem, where she was hired to open a café, where she discovered her love of building and running a business. After managing the café for three years she moved to event planning.

Susannah worked for the iconic Rainbow Room and ran Serena Bass Catering for socialite, and James Beard Award winner Serena Bass. (Serena later came to work with Executive Chef and interior designer for each of Susannah’s restaurants)

In 2011 Susannah combined her love of food and hospitality and Lido Restaurant was born on the corner of 117th Street and Frederick Douglass Blvd.

In 2020 Susannah, expanded to a second location called BIXI just two doors away from Lido. BIXI is a lounge with an Asian fusion menu, craft cocktails, and a gorgeous interior and private back patio, designed by Serena Bass.

In January of 2022 Susannah opened The Fox Harlem, a dynamic global sports bar and gastro-pub. The Fox is three blocks north of Lido on Frederick Douglass Blvd.

Susannah not only lives in and owns businesses in Harlem but is active in the community. She serves as president of two not for profit community organizations, Frederick Douglass Blvd Alliance, (FDAlliance.org) and Meals For Good (Mealsforgood.org) She also sits on the board of the NYC Hospitality Alliance (thenycalliance.org)

Susannah is in all three of her venues every day to ensure they maintain the fantastic food, drinks, along with the welcoming community vibe The Lido Group has become known for.
